  • Pros: Very quick recalculation.
  • Cons: Does not show total miles left on trip.
  • The Bottom Line: This is a very good GPS,it is very user friendly in all respects and recalculates very quickly when you get off the directed route. So far no problems except that it only tells miles to your next turn and not the total miles left to go.Also a very nice feature is telling you your arrival time.

  • Pros: Clear and concise. Will get you to the promised land.
  • Cons: May take you in a different way than you might go, but it will take you there. It may take longer due to traffic, but it's effectiveThe suction cup mount sucks. I bought a dash sand bag instead. Suc
  • The Bottom Line: Excellent product. If you rent cars, some want to charge you $10 a day. (mostly because they get stolen by the renters) Consumers Report ranks it highly too. ciao!Tebaldi

  • Pros: Text to voice; accuracy
  • Cons: Window mount
  • The Bottom Line: I love this GPS. I've had two others and neither compared to this one. The accuracy is great, boot up is relatively quick, screen is extremely bright and the right size. User friendly touchscreen, logical and easy to navigate the menus. On a cool to warm day I sometimes find the GPS on the floor because the window mount lost its vacuum. A big step up on this unit compared to a previous Garmin is the text-to-speech feature. It is truly a safety feature that allows you to keep your eyes on the road. Outstanding for the price!

  • Pros: Strong GPS Signal. Turns on quick. Fast response & 'recalculate'. Good sound & Audio
  • Cons: Not sure if it speaks the street names & numbers. Input Keyboard is not standard keyboard.
  • The Bottom Line: Great product. Becareful with the windsheild holder. You have to LOCK it. or else it will fall off. I thought you just have to stick it...but after it fell about 5-7 times I figured out you have to lock the holloster to the windsheild or dash board. They input keyboard is not a standard computer keyboard, so somtimes it may take time to find the right letter or number. Overall very satisfied. GPS Signal is very strong and turns ok quickly. It froze once, but rebooted quickly. I guess its best to pull over before you try to input an address. Nice features: Change voice (i have a sexy british female). Add favorite locations. Play MP3s (SD Card). HOME link, one click to home destination. Does not come with CD-ROM or Case. NO Bluteooth or wi-fi or FM Transmitter. Who needs them, it has good sound quality.

  • Pros: EASY TO CONNECT AND REMOVE plus has a nice leather case. Found it for half off-$349
  • Cons: Twice it has told me to turn even though the highlighted route shoes that i should keep going straight.
  • The Bottom Line: I am a 1st time user but this GPS is awesome. It has a large screen easy for me to see and the mount works great on my leather dashboard. I didn't need to purchase a seperate one. It is also easy to read in sunlight. I am in Florida so I worried about this. It didn't matter at all, what a relief! I can easily remove it each time I go in a place. The voice directions is perfect because I wasn't comfortable looking at the monitor just like I don't like looking at maps. It is always accurate with the 2 exceptions above and it quickly fixed itself. The 1st time I used it, I found a shortcut to school that avoids the main highway I usually take. It is going to save me so much time when I go places that are south of me. The traffic alerts are great and it helped me avoid a bad accident the other night. The POI are amazing. I didn't think I would care about this but have used it more than anything. It even includes phone numbers which is very helpful. I highly recommend this system.
